We guarantee careful packaging. Acer Palmatum is called Yama-momiji in Japan, which literally means "mountain maple." Originally from Japan and China, there are many varieties (cultivars) of the Japanese maple. Differences can be found in the color and shape of the leaves, the color of the trunk and branches, the type of bark, and growth habit. As far as I know, all varieties have palm-like, incised leaves (hence the name palmatum). Usually with five or more lobes, and depending on the variety, the leaf is deeply incised with serrated edges.
