The Basic quality pliers are made of carbon steel and retain their sharpness well with proper maintenance. However, for more intensive use, the higher quality pliers are highly recommended; the materials are higher quality and these pliers are very durable. The Professional pliers are made of the highest quality steel in Japan, with beautiful designs.
We sell the following types of pliers:
Concave pliers : The curved blade of the concave pliers creates a flat, slightly concave pruning wound that is easily covered with callus. Pruning wounds heal much faster and more beautifully as a result.
Knot pruning pliers : Knot pruning pliers are used to prune branches tightly against the trunk. The round, hollow wound left behind closes easily and neatly. Larger wounds can also be trimmed with these pliers to a slightly hollow wound that can then be covered with callus.
Wire cutters : Wire cutters are ideal for cutting aluminum and copper bonsai wire. The flattened tip makes it easy to cut the wire wrapped around the branches without damaging the bark.
Jintang : The jintang is designed to easily strip bark from branches. The ends of the wires are also easy to bend or tighten.
